You’ve heard the leaks, now here’s the final project from MaG and G.C.… $5 Cover. This project has been in the works for sometime and I am proud to be able to offer it today as a free download via my label, HiPNOTT Records.

$5 Cover plays like a show, as the New York emcee MaG gives us the performance of his life over some of G.C.‘s finest beats. Add in a special feature from Zack Berkman (of P. Diddy’s Starmaker fam) and you have $5 Cover.

    picket fences and look ma are real loco querico..
    very good job on the production..
    as far as mcing goes.. i sens a lot of jay influence a lot of time..
    (seems like deez days flows are divided into either jay, drake, rick ross or jeezy..)
    side from that.. good project on fist listen..could be classic later (if i get over the way to familiar flow)

    I appreciate it Grady! That’s interesting, I actually see a comparison to Lupe on a lot of tracks, particularly on “Picket Fences”, for instance:

    VERSE 1 -
    Rap books filled with rhymes and old hooks, I can paint pictures, Picasso with the pen with the ink for the image, the lyrics that I use are like literary hues…

    I can’t really say he’s exactly like anyone though, he’s got a really distinct rhyme scheme and voice. Thanks for the love and the input fam!
