The Felt record keeps the same tone, which would be fine, but it runs 21 tracks long. I never thought I'd say this, but TOO MUCH. I really have to say that Aesop surprised me. His production on this is unbelievable...I am officially a fan of his production now. He really brought the best out of Slug and Murs, too. As for the Felt album, I had my doubts as all three of those guys are hit and miss. I really have to say that Aesop surprised me. Rakim has not delivered since the last Eric B and Rakim album. Beats are always dreadful and albums are boring. He's had a few really good songs like that joint with Preemo but his albums have been meh. Can't get excited for that. Lyrically Rakim is all in, but the problem was exactly what i thought it would be....THE PRODUCTION. Maybe it was because i spent about 2-3 years drooling over the "Oh My God" LP (Rakim + Dr. Dre).
