DJ Rasta Root sent over the documentary for the making of his mixtape The Rest of Dilla Vol. 1. Rasta Root talks about the process of making the tribute along with those who were involved. Ma Dukes, J Dilla’s mother, speaks on what the project & her son meant to her and ATCQ’s Phife Dawg talks about Jay Dee’s work ethic. If you don’t have the tape, you can download it after the jump.

Serious, I don’t think theres a day goes by when I don’t listen to, or speak about, Dilla. Every time I hear his music, I’m inspired. “Plllaaaayyyyyyeeerrrrrrs….”.

(Oh, and not a day goes by when I don’t log in to Kev’s site!!).

Anybody else had problems w/the files?
I downloaded the zip, extracted and burned files to audio cd..then ripped to my PC (Yahoo Jukebox) and copied to my mp3 player(Archos). Everything’s cool on Yahoo Jukebox but there’s a 20+ second delay at beginning of every track when I play on mp3 player. WTF?!?!
