Since we released Cymarshall Law‘s new single, “Harder Than Thou,” last week, the buzz has been crazy. Produced by D-Slaps, with cuts by DJ JS-1, Cymarshall goes in over the track, um, harder than thou!
Now, we’re giving YOU a chance to put your own spin on the record. Download the acapella to “Harder Than Thou” and see if you can craft a beat just as dope, if not better than the original. The winning remix will be chosen by Cymarshall Law himself and will be included in an upcoming HiPNOTT Records mixtape being sponsored by HipHopDX. The mixtape will be a sampler of exclusive tracks from artists on HiPNOTT Records 2010 roster, as well as a few special guest appearances from some well known emcees. More information on the mixtape will be put out in the coming weeks, but this is something that you will definitely want to be a part of!

Rules:
- Download the acapella below (and original for reference)
- Remix the track… no limits. Do whatever you like with it; use samples or don’t… your call. Just make it dope!
- Name your file with the name you wish to be credited
- Upload your remix via the widget below in high quality mp3 format
- If you make changes to your remix after you’ve uploaded, annotate the new version in the description and we will delete the old one.
- Deadline for remix entries is December 23, 2009 at 6:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5)

…. as for the BPM question.. i went with 90 BPM but I had to resync before each scratching chorus… Peace !
because i check on Logic on 8 bars and I found 89.8852…. I don’t like to be on the right Bpm so if somebody knows it, it would be nice to give it.
FL Studio gives me 89.700 .. but it’s not right.. and I’ve tried all tempos from 85 to 91(one by one by hand) and none fit cos’ when the scratches get in the tempo changes and then goes back .. you’ll have to chop to fit ..

i was messing around with a new style when i remixed a beat to this but i like the original track it still has that original hiphop sound to it but a twist of a new style to it as well
