Once again it’s Soulful Sunday and today we are gonna kick it off with the artist Yahzarah… 1/4th of the Grammy nominated group The Foreign Exchange. Born and raised in Washington DC, Yahzarah attended the famous Duke Ellington School of the Arts and also attended North Carolina Central University. The first time I heard her sing was when I attended an Erykah Badu concert and she was singin back up vocals, this was on the Mama’s Gun tour. If you have this album (Mama’s Gun) you can hear Yahzarah’s beautiful voice.
This is her album Hear Me which she had posted as a free download on her Twitter page a few months ago. Hit it after the jump so that you too can become a fan of this fantastic talented artist.

she is definitely overlooked as a singer
Its amazing how many quality, high caliber artist get missed, overlooked, or disregarded by the mainstream media outlets.
Ive heard this voice so many times and it makes me do the same thing evertying. lighter in the air, hands over my eyes and shaking my head. Shes nothing but the truth.
