You have heard his tracks on the critically acclaimed mixtapes “De La Soul Tribute Album” (Plug Tunin’ w/Tabi Bonney & Staley) and Viva La Hov (Miss Trouble). You are probably thinking…Who did that beat?. To save you time from going to Google or Wikipedia we decided to introduce you to one of the hottest producers in hip-hop that you definitely need to know by name… JUDAH.

Where you reppin:

Reppin DC, Maryland and VA collectivly known as the “DMV’

Introduce yourself:

My name is JUDAH, producer, MMA fighter, Lover, Green Tea Drinker etc…. LOL

When did you fall in love with hip hop?

When I first seen “Video Jukebox”. EPMD “So what you sayin” etc…… Just raw hip hop ya dig.

Current projects we should be looking out for:

Just getting ready for the first quarter push. Shooting for Major stuff. Still doing indie stuff but trying to expand the brand and take it more major now.

Previous work that we should know about:

Wale 100 Miles and Running Tape
Viva La Hov (Mick Boogie)
De La Soul Tribute Album
Saints Row 2 Video Game

Just alot of stuff…….

Main musical inspirations:

The DMV music scene is my music inspiration. Go Go, Old School Soul and Hip Hop but just DC, MD and VA period inspires me.

What makes you Hip-Hop?

The fact I dont make music for money I make beats simply because I love making beats I just so happen to get paid to do it.

What’s your equipment setup like?

Im a dinosaur when it comes to equipment so I still use Mpc 60, 2000xl, 3000 and keyboards and modules. I have that computer crap too but I use that when i want to just do something else etc…. but I use the equipments essentials. MPC

If you had to pick one song that defines your career to date, what song would that be?

I cant do that because my career thus far is a build up of many songs so I cant do that. Just know this I’m just reaching my peak tho.

Why should the readers and fans give you a shot and listen to your music from here on out?

Because its on your site! Sike nah because I just make music for fun and for people to enjoy and I think I accomplish that 100% and plus im a regular dude that and not on no “Im so and so” type stuff.

What’s next for you?

Major Work! Thats it and MAJOR indie WORK! That really it now!

If you could only take one record on a deserted island with you, what album would that be?

EPMD “Strickly Business”

Any shout outs or last words?

Shouts out to all the producers and artist that doing it for love and shout out to all the folks in DC, MD and VA.

And much love to you and the site for looking out for a lil ol wack beatmaker suck as myself. lol

That’s a good look I got to meet Judah at the recent Dynamic Producers panel in NY. Besides being an overall cool dude, he gave folks a different view on how to earn an income with their tracks.
