Ryan Perfect’s EP, “SEARCHING: The Lyricist Lounge Sessions”– is a collection of songs written by Ryan at the age of 15, and later recorded at the Lyricist Lounge Studios in 2001. Shortly thereafter, several cuts leaked online and were compiled by his fans into an unofficial EP entitled “QB: The Next Generation.” Over the years, the Internet’s positive response, coupled with a high demand for these timeless songs, has led Audio Pictures, in conjunction with the legendary Lyricist Lounge and KevinNottingham.com, to release this seven-song EP for your listening pleasure. Featuring vintage tracks produced by multi-platinum producers Marley Marl, Needlz, Minnesota and DJ Khalil, “Searching” is a true-life time capsule that takes listeners into the mind of a Queens-bred teen on the come up. Designed to be the perfect listen for the nostalgic, 1990s New York hip-hop lover, “Searching” has been considered an “unreleased classic” by some of the music industry’s influential figures. Records like the coming-of-age title track, the slick tongue-spitting “Street Talk” and the reflective “Audio Pictures” all offer a glimpse into the life of hip-hop’s best-kept secret: Ryan Perfect.
