Lennon: A Beat Tape

Here’s a producer who credits Dilla as one of his inspirations, as well as 9th Wonder, Just Blaze, Ant and Dre. 17 year old producer, Lennon, has been making beats since he was 13. We actually featured his first beat tape here on the site back in 2008 when he was going by DJ Atomik. Now going by simply Lennon, he recently I became part of the Cosmic Souls Collective group with know:juander, Nefarious! and Eponym&Esta. This is his first project under the group and it contains music he’s been making since 2008, and contains a few tribute remixes/covers of producers that inspired him[specifically Vinroc for "Believe" and RJD2 for "Seasons".]

    Too bad he just copied that What I’ve seen beat from Know Juander and that Believe beat van DJ Vinroc.

    BUT he’s talented, gotta hand him that.

    @ rather real I appreciate the comment, but if you actually check the tracks you’d see in the description and credits for “Believe” I do say that it’s a cover of the original by vinroc.

    I added my own twist and touch in to give it more of a sound from my coast, but it was more payin homage to the dude when i was in a rough time.
    as of the know thing i actually hit dude up with the what ive seen beat when i first tried to get into the CSC and he said he made something similar haha… but thats a big sample amongst producers, you should know that… so people have flipped it a lot and I can guarantee youll run among some similarities out there
