This week for Freestyle Friday, we’re putting Philadelphia Freeway and the Justus League’s Chaundon up head to head. Both artists dropped new albums this past week (The Stimulus Package & Baby Makin Music) and both spit fire darts, so let’s see how they match up!
The idea behind Freestyle Friday is to battle one another with your favorite verse from either of the two competitors. You’re essentially battling other commenters in this thread by using the words of Freeway or Chaundon. Hit the jump for a few rules and then jump in on the comments!
Before we start, let’s see if we can keep the thread in order today, by following a couple simple rules:
1. Please don’t drop the lyrics to a whole song. No more than one verse!
2. Please stay in order…. Freeway, then Chaundon, then Freeway, etc. If you want to drop a Chaundon verse, wait until someone has dropped a Freeway one. The idea is to go back and forth. It’s possible that more than one person may be trying to drop a verse at one time… we’ll just keep moving on.
I’ll start this thread off with a verse from Chaundon:
“See, Tyson told me hit ‘em with the flames first
Challenge the world, bet I drop more names than a Game verse
These rap n****s is plastic
I’m terrorizing ciphers, they can’t blame Osama for that shit
Left the seven-one-eight for the nine-nineteen
I’m still home, slid the Y between the N and the C
Hunts Point I did it y’all, look at me shining
Came a long way rhyming, part time and nine-to-fivin’
The game is full of pussies, I can hear it in they rhymes
Got balls for saying that, who dick is bigger than mine?
Pause, walking tall, biggest n**** on campus
Putting shame to all ‘em so-called n****s who ran this
I’ve been nice since the early eighties
When I strike your wrist your lady will swallow my million dollar babies
You don’t wanna battle me right?
I guarantee you’ll see more L’s than Puerto Ricans on the lower eastside
Hunts Point, I did it again
I’ve been broke so long the rich will now feel the wrath of my pen
You can tell I got now by the words on this page
I got too big for the corner so I brought it to the stage”
