MUSIC AND CREATIVE DIGITAL ARTS AFTER-SCHOOL ACADEMY
PROJECT GENERATION D
LAUNCHES ITS HIP-HOP PRODUCTION COURSE
SERVING THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB AND MORE

Project Generation D is proud to announce the launch of its Hip-Hop Production course at the Boys and Girls Club of Hall County in Gainesville, GA as well as a Greene County, GA high school beginning March 15, 2010. Project Generation D (PGD) is an after-school creative digital arts academy for pre-teens and teens aimed at providing a positive environment for a high-quality digital arts education while encouraging individuality and teamwork. The company’s website and blog at www.ProjectGenerationD.com features news and program updates, and will soon include session photos and video.

The PGD Hip-Hop Production course will teach the basics including drum programming, loop-based production, writing song lyrics and more, all taught using Garage Band and Ableton Live digital audio workstations. A classroom of 12 teens will also enjoy guest appearances by local musicians, production studio tours, and will complete the course by creating individual and group projects.

“Creating Project Generation D has really been a culmination of my years of experience as a music producer and artist [as moniker Nobody Famous], as well as my background in childcare, education, business, and various forms of digital arts,” said founder Reggie Perry Jr. who develops and teaches the coursework. “I’ve been working on this program for years, so it is very exciting to see it coming to life now.”

In Other News:

Within the following months, PGD plans to add additional program sites, becoming a mobile academy. As the organization expands, additional courses will be offered, and the PGD instruction staff will increase. Long-term projections include a PGD center and a global classroom.
