Atlanta artist Killer Mike has been selected to headline the sixth and final event of The Atlanta Stargazing Tour summer concert series alongside the series’ leading artist, Aleon Craft. The event will take place this Thursday, September 9th, at The Clermont Lounge, one of Atlanta’s oldest and most well-known nightlife establishments.
Throughout the summer there has been 5 Stargazing events, prior to the Clermont Lounge. Spaced roughly two weeks apart, the events, in order of occurrence, were hosted at East Side Lounge, Midtown Tavern, Star Community Bar, The Glenn Hotel, and Park Tavern. Past performers include but are not limited to: Aleon Craft, Alien Warr, Kontraband, FKi, Grip Plyaz, Spree Wilson, Vonnegutt, Jay West, STS, Ocha La Rocha, Haziq Ali, Weapons of Audio, Jimi Cravity, Jarren Benton, Tom P, Graham Knox, Sean Falyon, Stanza, Richelle L. Brown, Niko Villamor, The Soviet Rockets, Smitty & The Spare Change, the DOLLDAZE, and Alexandrea Lushington.
Each event has been a tremendous success, packed with a diverse and live crowd. The success of the series is due in large part to the continuous high level of involvement and support received from the local community and media. Involved companies and media partners include: Frank 151/Atlanta Backwoods, Affiliated Digital, Ozone, Creative Loafing, The Smoking Section, Mixtape Atlanta, Fusicology, Ruby Hornet, ChemLab, illRoots, Dustin Chambers, Chilly-0, Guerrilla Minds, Esperanza-ATL, Mindzai, 4th Ward Heroes, Jenesis Magazine, Kevin Nottingham and Pabst Blue Ribbon.
