Amiri: Boom Bap / DILLA 4EVA [Music Video]

Last week we hit you with the first single from Amiri‘s upcoming solo album, The Recipe, dropping at the end of the month. Today we premiere the video to “Boom Bap”. Directed by up and coming director BANK!, who has bee featured on MTV Sucker Free Sundays with Travis Porter, the video showcases Amiri doing what he does best: diggin in the crates and making beats. The video ends with a short tribute to the great J. Dilla in “DILLA 4EVA” which is one of the many beat interludes on the album. The Recipe will be available both digitally and physically on September 28th.

YO! when he put on that sample at the end(I know what it is,but I`m not telling!) I got happy like a little kid! There are only so many moments in this hip hop that you get that feeling. I`m getting it from Amiri and Spectac. Can`t wait for the full album.

@ EsotericAlumnus-It`s cool you went to you tube to find the sample(instead of digging for it like you should). For one,I said “I`m not telling” to be respectable of the flip and not put samples on blast. But since you did it for me…… And I know there are many others who knew where it came from,but it`s cool. I`ll continue to suck and dig in the crates and stumble upon gems like these.You keep going to you tube for yours. Have a good life .

Dilla is an enigma and i love helping break the code so shut up and go home. What kind of brag is “(I know what it is,but I`m not telling!)” You should have edited yourself or remained silent on the issue no one thinks you’re important coming at that angle

Yeah,cool you love breaking the code,but you aren`t the only one. Mad people know who did that. Great,you`re a Burt Bacharach fan, But I still stand by my reason.It was not a brag,but respect to Amiri`s AND Dilla`s Flip.Never a ego thing at all with me homie. I`m just not the one to put ANYONE`S choice of samples out there,especially if we don`t know if it`s cleared or not.
