Boston emcee Re-Surch has teamed up with KevinNottingham.com and One3 Music to present his latest mixtape, Alcoholic College Kidz, the Collective Vol. 1. Forgoing the current hip hop stereotypes, Re-Surch has crafted a compilation for hip hop fans who just want to party and have a good time.

“My music is different because it’s the world from my perspective and there is only one me, so no one else can duplicate it. I’m all about having fun, positive vibes, spreading love and inspiring people. I want people to laugh and be happy after listening to me.”
– Re-Surch

Mixed by Ryan Todd and DJ Liberty, the brand new mixtape boasts 20 tracks from Re-Surch and his Alcoholic College Kidz crew, including the KN-premiered leaks “Mic In My Hand” featuring Singapore Kane and “Dropping Shit Like A Pigeon (Slow Flow)”. With production from the likes of Tozu Productions, Alegory, Home Team and more, this project should hold you over until Re-Surch drops his upcoming album Raised In The Ghetto, Went To School In The Burbs on ACK Ent/One3 Music.

I gotta say i went into this based off the interview and this dude is pretty nice. Seems like he stuck to his word about being different. The dj seemed to really blend this mixtape together well so it doesnt sound like a bunch of songs just put on a mixtape. That’s always a plus in my book. The comedy in some of the rhymes (and skits) actually make you laugh. I’d tell people to download this. It’s funny without being clownish. Who doesnt like, chicks, liquor and partying. Or at least 2 out of the 3. How much thugging can every rapper do? If you need a break from thug rap, preachy rap or even conspiracy rap, I’d say get this.

Dudes got decent flow but I’d have to disagree with the guy above me. It seemed clownish to me. This seems geared toward white college kids. Then again it does say that in the title. Like I said it’s not bad but to the recycle bin it goes. If you like silly music and things to dumb you down this is definitely for you. Not horrible though.

I’m gonna sound too biased if I give my opinon on the mixtape so i’ll just say this. Re-Surch is better than most of the trash that’s selling. One of the truest reasons I even f*ck with people like him and Kevin Nottingham is because of their ability to see past what’s being presented in everyday media. The brain wash has been going on for so many years that people young and old have truly forgotten what hiphop means. It’s not always about super word play, gangsta/thugging or saying so much confusing things that people mistake it for being dope. It’s always been about all the above as well as other things like having a good time via whatever your vice may be. Now i’ve seen a few shots thrown at me and my dude mainly by one person who changes his name evertime he comes in here (BUT WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE), but I’m gonna go and say this for anyone who’s letting that bum persuade them. I know hiphop. And if I mess with someone like a Re-Surch that’s because I know what he can bring to the game. Dont let someone (or anyone for that matter) fool you into thinking that they cant spit just because THEY CHOOSE to not hit you over the head with “lyrical, mirical” flow or the “math” rap. At one point I heard about 5 difffernt kinds of hiphop on the radio and they were all co-existing. Let’s get it back to that folks and pay no mind to the sites that “Think” they determine who’s hiphop and who’s not. Peace to the whole KevinNottinham.com site and the fellow Nottinghammers. 1Love! Your homie MalMoe

I just heard this tape…yah its comedy but i would say clownish..just not rims and cars and guns and money. These dudes got some fire lyrics and some of the songs they put together were catchy as hell. Never fall for a white girl, that was not only off the chain but funny and meaningful. make sure you listen to that. and theres another one at the end there. girlfriends boyfriend, resurch is on there but its some one else. Toddy i think it says..that song was hilarious funny as hell and hes talkin bout dont bring ya girl round me (cocky type stuff) there needs to be more of that type stuff than regular gangsta bs. thats the clownin ass material. i liked this mix alot..good work and i hope to see more of you guys

Thats just my feedbak from observing. I heard a couple songs on here from this cat u backing, only site i have seen him on, and he seems off beat, but I am not hating, kinda sounds like a poor man’s asher roth. But aside from him u seem so salted, why? dont let anyone bother u fam.

I dont know what the big fuss is about. I checked this mixtape out and it seems like dude is harmless. I can bump this at any given time. Beats are pretty dope. First track is fire. Too much arguing over dum stuff. Just enjoy the music. Isnt that what we come here for? I say if you dont like it, then check out something else. Some dope variety here. But i’ll go and say it myself. Good job on this mixtape. Even the cover work is dope. Not sure bout that title tho. Keep pushing man. Your obviously on here for a reason. Peace KN. Ps. when can I get on here? Mr. Jones!

sweatpant boners got the idea. weve all heard the shit about how big your rims are or how many hos you can get. theyre bringing a new game aimed at the kids who do alot of the downloading and purchasing in the music biz :college kids. plus hanging with the guys you instantly can tell though they may be out they never left college. the mixtape is fire and if you disagree, do better or shut the fuck up.

I saw this dude at the Just Blaze/Alchemist show last week. He did his thing. I didnt think he’d be on a site like this, but then again I didnt think he’d be the one opening for a show like that. Mixtape is pretty hot. I’d keep my eye on him. (that video he put out needs work tho, lol)

Number 18 is off the hook. Should have come after the first track (showin my ass), that way the heat would have stayed consistant. If you dont mind me saying. I’ll give it a 7 out of ten but only cuz it goes from hot to warm too many times instead of hot, hot, warm, hot. You know what I mean. But I’ll listen to warm before I listen to cold. Good job Kevin.

yo, I’m from Worcester, and i feel bad 4 these kids who have no idea who Re-Surch, M-DOT, or KrumbSnatcha’ are… I hope that Re-Surch does a song with M-DOT and KrumbSnatcha’ as well as Worcester rapper, Brendon Boyd (www.bboyd.com). That would be krazy.
