Random: Black Materia (Final Fantasy VII)

Avid gamer Random linked up with Phoenix producer Lost Perception to create a new album based on Final Fantasy VII. Before the full LP verisons drops on the 31st, Random gives us an EP version of Black Materia. The 8 track version includes guest appearances by Storyville & Ilyas of Tanya Morgan. Tracklist & link after the jump.

I have no idea what…any…of this stuff means and I thought it was a super-fresh project. Apparently it’s even doper when you understand all the references. Dr. Quandary is wigging out on this stuff right now.

Crazy!!!!!!! I can’t believe how precisely the lyrics tell the story of the game in such spectacular detail while the MC’s are rhyming as characters from the game. This is amazing!!! Only a few will see the true genius of this project.
