Freddie Gibbs Signs With Young Jeezy

Looks like it’s official… Freddie Gibbs has aligned with Young Jeezy and signed to his CTE label. This was announced last night in Chicago when Freddie Gibbs brought Jeezy up on stage. The homies at FSD got the video footage above.

I personally think this is a great move for Jeezy and not sure why Gibbs didn’t get snatched up sooner. Will be curious to see how this affects Gibbs’ career and whether the fans will still support once the mainstream picks up on him.

I’m interested in seeing how the inta-nets receive this signing. The inta-nets love to big people up, but ish on them with moves like this. Gibbs with Jeezy….and Pill with Rick Ross..

Not a fan of the move. Jeezy can hardly get his own album out and now we should expect him to take a real interest in a Gibbs LP? CTE has released one, yes one, non-Jeezy solo album and that was Blood Raw. Dude was a member of USDA and got no promotion too. So what in the past has shown that this will work out? Don’t forget, Gibbs was signed to a major once & it didn’t work out.

if jeezy tags up wit Gibbs and make him his right hand this ca go well. however, i share justin’s concerns. freddie was strong on his own.

Very true Justin. I looking at how p[revious releases and promotion on the label is definitely major deciding factor………so Gibbs and Yeezy………Pill & Wale with Rick Ross. I’m still trying to see these through. Let’s see how they turn out.
