I know heads are gonna be going apeshit for this album… the long awaited solo album from Phonte Coleman of Little Brother and The Foreign Exchange. No production credits or features listed yet. The album drops 9/27 on Foreign Exchange Music, Tay’s label with Nicolay.

The pre-order package includes a signed copy of the album from Phonte shipping 9/19 and an immediate download of the album on 9/20.     I will be preordering this as soon as the preorder link goes up. As a selfish fan I hope there are 12 tracks of Tay rapping but I know it will be a mixture of rapping/singing.

    I thought the whole point of this album was he’s rapping on every tracks? If he’s singing, it’s just another post-Connected Foreign Exchange album.

    As a huge fan of Tay’s mic skills I can only wish.  My senses say it will be a mixture as it only seems logical to me.  I hope that I’m surprised tho…

    we need to cop this and support good music, Phonte is one of the few rappers with both super lyricism and story telling abilities with a message.

    The minstrel show is my favorite album and i still listen to it then all my collection of rap music combined.

    With dudes like 9th wonder and Khrysis on the production this can really be EPIC.

    We need to support this by either buying the album or at least mentioning it on forums, youtube etc.

    I agree. This album will probably be a mixture of more singing than rapping but I hope it’s the other way around
