Hailing from Dale City, Virginia, or the “NOVA” (northern Virginia) as he prefers to call it, Bee West is an aspiring artist with an undying love for Hip Hop. His love for Hip Hop began when he was in elementary school, and while it’s not his biggest influence, Bad Boy Records was of many catalysts that propelled Bee West to become a rapper. Although he has a multitude of musical influences, his primary influences are Big L, Nas, Paramore, Kanye West, and The Notorious B.I.G.
Stylistically, West is a combination of both past and present as he tries to incorporate many elements of the golden era into his musical style. His mixtape, The Bee West Playlist, is a mixture of these styles and influences. Although a majority of the mixtape consists of freestyles, West does offer the listener a handful of songs to prove that he is far from a one dimensional lyricist. Currently, Bee West is working on his new mixtape and is working to obtain his B.A. degree in mass communications. Link and tracklist after the jump.
