Over here in the States during the mid 90’s the hip hop culture was in it’s Golden Era, and you did not have to look far to hear a dope emcee really spittin’. I had absolutely no idea that European rap was experiencing a similar movement that had folks tearing up microphones left and right. So with today being Throwback Thursday, I am going to take time out to pay respect to all the emcees worldwide that can really spit but have not been heard by the masses. Shouts to my homie Mishoo the Drumkit (Mishoo’s Blog) reppin Germany and Rwanda that turned me to these guys.

Earlier this week we introduced you to a new hip hop duo, Phase One & Asa Buchanon, with an exclusive leak from their up coming album Bugnanas. The album is simply that… bugnanas! Until I’ve been given permission to leak more material from the album, I figured we’d catch up with the emcee known as Phase One and the producer Asa Buchanon. Hit the cut to get to know these cats…

The first episode of L’Daialogue’s “The Making Of My InDAIpendent EP” captures him directly in front of Universal Music Group as an in”DAI”pendent artist symbolically (and literally) standing in front of a major label preparing for a photo shoot and subsequently being escorted off of their premises…
This shit’s pretty funny… lol

Maybe if I play DJ Hero enough, I can be like these cats… lol. CRAZY FRESH!

Looks like Hov is looking at releasing “Forever Young” as the next single off Blueprint 3. Terrible choice, IMHO. Every time I hear this song, I think of Napoleon Dynamite (which is a great movie, but not a good look for Jay). Here’s Jay-Z on stage with Mr. Hudson, live in London. Props to thehigherplane.net for the footage!
