Twenty-One year old producer Bonita Basics just finished up his instrumental EP, Family Matters.  The EP has been six months in the making with the young beatsmith drawing inspiration from some recent family events.  The EP is twelve tracks of head knockers with standout cuts such as “The Thc Track,” “State of Mind,” and “Foolish.”

Isbjerg: The Pattern

For future Instrumental Tuesdays, we’re gonna start showcasing actual instrumental albums or beat tapes from producers both known and unknown. This week, resident Nottinghammer, Isbjerg, sent us his latest project, The Pattern. Here’s what he said about the album:

The Pattern is a bunch of experimental joints, all with a systematic flow throughout the song, named by some of the greatest materials in the world – I could give you a long talk about the similar patterns in the structure of songs, and the materials are the ten found in ‘moon rocks’ landedon earth the last twenty years but NO…

The joints on this album are beats that have been small tracks, growing big and strong and awaits MCs to fusion…
