We’ve featured Rasheed Chappell on the site a couple of times within the last few months [here]. I co-sign dude cause he is extremely talented and has something to say.
Well, he hooked up with the good folks at When Giants Meet to shoot this video as sort of an introduction or visual introduction to Rasheed. I’ll let them explain.
“The first video collaboration between WGM x Rasheed Chappell, Shot in Passaic, NJ. The idea started at the Hot Grill in Clifton in a meeting we had, and ended up in the APP Projects. We had a great time filming everything that day and hope that you all enjoy it.
This track talks about the start of a dream, how it is, and whats to come… which is going to be crazy for sure! “Life is what you make it, and that’s real,” true words to live by. RSG produced the track; and did everything he had to do PLUS more on this joint.
We would like to thank everyone included in making this song/video and promise to continue to bring you nothing but the best we can give you all.
Peace!”
Hit the cut for the video. Oh…Rasheed is still putting the finishing touches on his debut album Nostalgia and is working on an EP with one of our Nottinghamer beat makers.
The Louisiana onslaught of music continues! Here’s a new track from New Orleans emcee Fiend called “Knees Deep (Swamp Land).” Fiend has been a fixture on the scene since the mid 90’s releasing the highly acclaimed albums Won’t Be Denied & There’s One In Every Family. Many may remember Fiend for being a part of No Limit during the heyday as well as being a member of the Ruff Ryders. He recently had a production credit on the latest Jadakiss album, the song “Something Else.” Rumors have also been surfacing about Fiend possibly signing to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation although they’ve not yet been confirmed. Check out some classic Fiend tracks after the jump.

In the mist of Jay-Z week we sprinkled in a lot of Raekwon. Probably wasn’t enough for many, but we we dropped some good ish: Who Spit It Better, instrumentals, and OB4CL video’s. Plus, Fred came through with two excellent reviews for OB4CL and OB4CLII and who can forget about the dope interview Addi conducted with The Chef? It wasn’t Rae week, but we represented the Wu-Tang Solider lovely.
Hit the cut for all Rae related material over the last three weeks. Enjoy!
This dropped either yesterday or today. A taste of what to come from GFK for his up and coming album: Ghostdini: Wizard of Poetry. I’m interested in this album…September 29.
Somebody wanted a certain version of this song. Here it is. I can’t remember where I came across this on the internet. Props to whomever gave it to me!
