Vandalyzm has been holding on to his J Dilla tribute song “Mirror Mirror” for awhile but has finally decided to release it. The St. Louis emcee wrote this shortly after Dilla’s birthday last year & used the sample as ”Last Donut of the Night” to reflect on his life at the time. This five-track free download is packaged to include the album version, radio edit, instrumental and acapella of “My God” and a b-side, “Ol To New”.

“My God” represents the spirit of the album as a whole. Spectac brings his laid-back, storytelling, poetic style and Amiri’s beat is soulful and innovative but still reminiscent of the Golden Era of hip-hop. The track is off the Atlanta emcee’s Kemetic Aha mixtape which has him rhyming over all DJ Premier beats.
