The good folks at TSS captured some footage of Bigga Mike Mike Bigga aka Killer Mike performing “God’s In The Building” from his dope album, I Pledge Allegiance to the Grind, Vol. 2.  The performance went down at the A3C Hip-Hop Festival in Atlanta this past weekend.

I wanted to share this with my fellow hip-hop headz here in the DMV area I attended last night and had hella fun and the panel discussions were very informative as well as passionate..this shows that the Hip-Hop is very much alive and it continues to grow each and every day..so if you live in the DMV area, please check out this festival.

Words Beats & Life, Inc. (WBL) and the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Bootleg Festival, which will consist of workshops, film screenings, panel discussions, performances and a traveling art installation: History of the Mixtape. Along the U Street Corridor from September 16-19, 2009, we hope to offer DC residents an opportunity to experience something not often seen in commercial media: hip-hop’s underground economy. This festival is designed to shine light on contradictions in hip-hop and its contributions to the larger dialogue about popular culture, globalization and its reflection and resistance of both. This year, we’re focusing on explaining how to produce, distribute and profit from the creation of media. This includes exploring hip-hop’s relationship to intellectual property, copyright, trademarks and bootlegging.

Hit the jump for more information and a download of the official mixtape for the event…

Kid Cudi’s album, Man on The Moon: The End Of Day dropped today.  It’ll be interesting to see how it is received by the buying public because the album is kinda dark in theme/mood.

BET Rising Icon must be a new series they’re running because Cudi’s was the second installment with Wale performing at the beginning of the month.

Hit the cut for Wale’s show and props to Nah Right via Yardie for the video’s.

I just caught Friday night’s show last night (thanks to my trusty Tivo). When Jay-Z plays Madison Sqaure Garden, he plays it up big! For those in the dark, Jay perform live this past Friday night (on 9/11) at the Garden in NYC in support of his new album The Blueprint 3. All proceeds went to the families of the NYPD and FDNY who lost their lives on 09/11/01. Watching this show just reaffirms my belief in Jay as the best rapper alive and makes me wish we could do the Eleven Days all over again! My man, Steven Kim, was at the show (lucky bastard) and wrote up a full review of it here.

Fuse TV had the exclusive rights to broadcast the event live, but if you missed it, you can download the whole show after the cut, courtesy of mrworldpremiere.net. The rip here is provided in full High-Definition quality in MP4 format.

Grab this joint after the cut, before it disappears!
