Artist Spotlight is a new feature here on the blog. It’s kind of along the same lines as the Producer’s Spotlights, but this time we go straight to star of the song. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a ‘Greatest Hits‘ or ‘Best of‘ package, as we will try to focus on featured guest spots and remixes, with the occasional hit or two.

Our first Artist Spotlight is the exception, as every song he’s touched lately has been a hit! T-Pain, born Faheem Najm in Tallahassee, came onto the scene during the summer of 2005 with his debut hit single “I’m Sprung”. Since then he has released two albums, Rappa Ternt Sanga and Epiphany, and sung on a number of hits from R. Kelly, E-40, and Bow Wow to current hits by Chris Brown, Kanye West, and Twista. Signed to Akon’s Konvict Music label, T-Pain seems to be an every artist’s list for featured guests. The following mix highlights his career.
