If you’re into rock music, there are a ton of new releases today. But we ain’t covering any of them here. Instead I’m gonna tell you about 2 SOLID hip hop records being released today and 1 outstanding record that I missed two weeks ago.

The first is from Justus League hip hop producer 9th Wonder. Vol. 2-Dream Merchant is a compilation CD featuring artists such as Mos Def, Jean Grae, Memphis Bleek, Little Brother, Saigon, Camp Lo, Black Moon… the list goes on! 9th Wonder is a hot up and coming producer, who has produced songs for Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek, Little Brother, Destiny’s Child, Mary J. Blige, and Jean Grae amongst a number of underground artists. This CD is definitely one to check out!

The second new release today is from world famous DJ Envy and upcoming rap artist Red Cafe. The disc, creatively titled The Co-Op, should be pretty good as there are a lot of guest artists, such as Fabolous, Nina Sky, Styles P, Sheek Louch, and Remy Ma. I’ve heard the first single “Things You Do” which features Nina Sky and it’s pretty hot. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the disc.

Now I got another album that I want to shout out, cuz I actually missed it when it was released two weeks ago. I’m talking about Median’s Relief from Justus League artist Median. Median’s Relief features outstanding production from 9th Wonder, Khrysis, Nicolay, Ant B, and more, as well as guest appearances from the likes of Joe Scudda, Chaundon, L.E.G.A.C.Y. and Spectac. From thought-provoking tracks, to uplifting and emotional songs, to captivating storytelling songs, to cleverly inventive songs, Median’s Relief covers a wide-range of emotions and subject-matter that is sure to engage and connect with the listener in a distinctive and electrifying way. Median’s Relief is a genuinely special and unique work of art that is sure to secure a place as one of the most notable, original and influential hip hop albums of its time.
