Exclusive Jay-Z: Dead Presidents 3

Dead Presidents 3My all-time favorite Jay-Z joint, “Dead Presidents”, may be getting an update in the form of “Part 3″. I just ran across this snippet on the web. It comes from the new Big Mike mixtape, but was actually put together years ago.

According to DJ Green Lantern, “It’s ‘Dead Presidents III.’ Young Guru did the beat for that. It’s a joint from the vault. He had [Jay’s vocals] from around the Black Album time. He flips the entire flow from ‘Dead Presidents,’ like, ‘Me and my conglomerate,’ he flips that flow a different way. The beat is dark, Reasonable Doubt sh–.”

The snippet is short, but gives you a preview of what may and hopefully will be released. Nothing beats the original beat from “Dead Presidents I & II”, but it’s definitely classic Jay. Let’s hope this gets recorded for American Gangster.

*edit* Looks like the link is dead. Anyway, nothing to get too hype up over anyway. I mean the snippet was only like 10 seconds max. Besides, looks like this won’t make it on to American Gangster anyway. I’m sure one day this’ll be leaked in full…

*edit 10/24* Alright, I had to go ahead and up this myself as the link kept dying and seems like everybody’s been looking for this.  The link below is actually a better snippet than the Big Mike version that was posted a few days ago.  This one comes off the new Tapemasters Inc. American Gangster Mixtape.  Enjoy!
