Yo, here it is. I almost couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this over at Hip Hop Update. What we have here are preview snippets of Jay-Z’s upcoming album American Gangster. We are still a full two weeks away from release day. Earlier today I posted the official tracklist. Well, the CD is officially complete. For those of you that cannot wait to hear what this album will sound like, this link is for you.
Personally, I’m not gonna listen to it. I’ve already heard “Blue Magic” and “Roc Boys”. I want the rest to be a listening experience. I want to wait until November 6, when I go down to the record store and physically hold the CD in my hands. After I lay down my hard-earned money, I want to pry off that cellophane from the CD case, pop the CD in my system and listen to each track in its entirety while I peruse the linear notes. That to me is a true listening experience.
I know peeps are excited to get a preview, which is why I’m sharing out the link. Download and enjoy! I don’t know how long each snippet is.
