New Music Tuesday: November 27th

November 27th Music ReleasesThere are a few new hip hop CDs being released. The most notable is the new one from the Cunninlynguists; Dirty Acres. I’ve only heard a little bit of this album so far, as a promo, and from what I’ve heard it’s pretty hot. I don’t think Cunninlynguists gets enough props in this hip hop game. Guess that’s why they’re considered “underground”. Anyway, Phonte’s got a guess spot on the album, so you know I’m gonna support it.

Next up, you know I gotta show love from my fellow MIA homie, Pitbull. His new album is finally set to drop, even though his latest singles have not been doing too well. Personally, I like his flow and hope this album does well for him.

That’s really all there is worth mentioning today. Common’s dropping a Best of compilation. It’s good if you’re not familiar with his earlier work. All songs on the album are from his first three albums, which makes me wonder…. why isn’t this album called The Best of Common Sense? Isn’t that what he was known as back then? Anyway, since I got all his stuff, this is just a throwaway release for me. If you’re not familiar with early Common, check him out; he was ill back then too! Read on for album details…

Maybe it’s the NAME that’s holding them back.
