American Gangster: Best of The Remixes, Vol. I

American Gangster: Best of The Remixes, Vol. I

Here it is… American Gangster: The Best of The Remixes, Volume I. There were so many great remix albums that have been submitted over the past month, that it was really difficult to compile a ‘Best of’ compilation. Imagine listening to 70+ versions of “Roc Boys” over and over again to determine which one you like best. It was hard. I wanted to give every remix a shot, which is why you won’t hear more than one song from a particular project on this compilation. There were also many remixes where it came down to two or three finals and I had to choose which song sounded right with the rest of the compilation. That’s why I’ll be putting together Volume II next. But for now, I think this one works. Hope you all agree with the choices I made. You can download the compilation after the credits. Oh, before I forget, thanks to Krome for putting together an amazing album cover!

i was hoping someone would compile the “best of” these tracks. i heard quite a few of the remix albums, but there were just too many of them–i know i missed some heat. good looking out–i know it was hard. you have a dope site here, man.

Great work Kev and Krome - this album needs to be heard! I’m personally gonna be sad when these remixes completely dry up - although I’m sure Kev will appreciate getting his life back!! Roll on vol. 2!

Kevin- true story: I downloaded ALL but 2 of the remix albums you compiled this from. So now I’m downloading the Gangstermen & Holladay remixes; I figured if a song from each of those made it to your compilation then the rest must be pretty good, right? I’m trusting your judgment…lol

But that was very gracious of you to sit through the arduous & tedious task of determining the best of the best. Very much appreciated!

May your hard work be rewarded with a Brazilian beauty in the near future! LOL, Marcha, hook this man up STAT!

LMAO! Nonchalant, you a fool! LOL (Marcha, can you overnight one?) LOL!

Yo, you won’t be disappointed with either of those 2, especially the Rob Holladay one. There were a few of his remixes that came neck and neck to being on this comp… it just turned out I liked his intro better than anyone elses.

yeah, I’m listening to the Gangstermen remix right now, and that beat switch you talked about on their version of Roc Boys is quite dope!

Shout out to them on a job well done!

Ummm, is Volume 2 under way? Care to disclose the next 15 albums you’ll be pulling from? I’m just asking cuz I wanna download the ones I slept on before the links die. If not, I can wait, it’s not a problem, just do your thing!

    peace

Damn, you askin’ for Vol 2 already? LOL… I actually haven’t even started on it yet. I’ll let this one breathe for a bit first. I got some tracks that I wanted to put on this one, but I also wanna give some of the new contenders a chance. I’ll probably put it out in the next week or two…

Actually K-Def’s joint is probably one of my favorites. It’s weird how he didn’t make the list. I guarantee he’ll be in Vol. II though!
