I’m gonna be working with some people in the coming weeks to hopefully do some artist development/promotion and this here is just a taste of some of the new raw talent you’ll be hearing.
CP is an emcee out of Tennesse and is about to drop his new mixtape, The Stash Box, in a couple of weeks. This here is his newly released first video off the mixtape, called “Like A Son”. The Stash Box has features from The Nappy Roots, Skyzoo, Wordsworth, PumpkinHead, Don Cerino, Rhyme Scheme, and others. CP has handled most of the production, but Domingo, Joesph Random, and Wolf make some appearances as well.
I like this video, even if it is basic. I think that’s what I like about it! I may be showing my age here, but it reminds me of some of the videos they used to show on Friday Night Videos back in the early 80s before MTV came around. Anyway, I can’t wait to hear CP’s mixtape… he’s got that deep south Paul Wall type of flow.
You’ll be seeing more of CP on this site, but check out his MySpace page for more updates, music, and info on the The Stash Box.
