![Doggystyle [Original Samples]](http://kevinnottingham.com/myblog/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/folder.jpg)
I initially hadn’t planned on finishing this sample collection next. I know there were a few others that people were more interested in hearing according to the poll a couple of weeks ago. Some of those other albums have been a little difficult, so I’m still working on them. This one, however, was half way finished after I completed The Chronic sample collection.
Doggystyle is the debut album from Snoop Dogg (then known as Snoop Doggy Dogg). Released on November 23, 1993, it was produced solely by Dr. Dre. Some could say that this album is the unofficial sequel to Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, released a year prior in 1992. The vibe of the two albums are candidly similar and they are considered the staples of Dre’s G-Funk sound.

What about the earlier release of “Doggystyle” that included the song “Gz Up, Hoez Down” using the Isaac Hayes song sample?? I can’t remember the song off hand but he used it in “Santa Goes Straight To The Ghetto” & Ashanti used it on “Rain On Me”. But, were you leaving that one out intentially?? But non-the-less, goood find. Thanx!!
Nah, that wasn’t left out intentionally… I just forgot about it!
