Congratulations to Johnny Street who won the contest for WEEK 2 with his remix for Busta Rhymes’ “New York Shit”. Voting is now open for the remixes from Week 3. There has been a slight change to voting starting this week. You will now have to register with this site in order to vote from now on. This is the only way I can make sure the votes are legit. Previously votes were polled by the user’s IP address and we all know how easy it is to get around that. I’m not saying that there was any foul play going on with the voting, but some of the votes seemed to be coming from the same ISP. So we’ll see how this new system works. All I can say is, let’s keep it fair people. I see the logs and where the votes are coming from. This is hip hop, baby! Let’s keep it fun!
Check out the remixes that were submitted below and make sure you vote on the right. The polls will close Saturday February 23rd at 11:59pm EST.
Here are the entries for Week 3: Ja Rule’s “New York”…
- Que R!CO: New York (Que R!CO Remix)

HANDS DOWN.. JOHNNY STREET!!!!!
RJ you called it….a true remix!!! Everybody else was alright the problem (with everyone else) was the beat seemed to drag or just wasn’t in sync with the verses. Except Watchmen…he was a distant second… betta than the rest of them! JD3 switched it up and made that shit rock…even my lil girl was noddin her head!
Yo Kevin…next week put JD3 first and tell the rest of them to stop dickin’ around and come correct in the weeks comin’
Yeah, I liked how Johnny started with the original beat and switched into the remix.
aight…aight….enuff swinging……. JD’s shit was aight but he probably could’ve hit it with a little more sumthing…..I jus dont know what yet…but overall i’ll give him a vote

Johnny Street’s (JD3) remix was definitely on point…GREAT JOB!!!
most of these didnt sound in sync with the verses, so it came into being vs jd3 and watchmen…. and watchmen got it, i could see myself listenin to it a lot more than any of the others
