As I’ve said before, these Ghostface sample sets are probably the best in terms of overall music quality. You can literally put on one of these sets and enjoy it as much as Ghostface’s actual albums. Thomas and Goon worked this one out; one of my favorite Ghostface albums… The Pretty Toney Album. Just about all the Ghostface albums have been covered in sample sets thus far. Goon should have Bulletproof Wallets posted on his site by the end of the week and Ivan just posted the Big Doe Rehab sample set over on Hip-Hop Is Read. Thomas, Goon, Ivan, and myself sat up last night diggin’ and coordinating our future sets and all I have to say is we have some dope sets coming up. For those of you sample heads that come for these sets, we got lots more in store. In addition to our individual sites, make sure you check out the Hip Hop Sample Index that Ivan keeps updated with all the sample sets that we’ve done. I think we’re up to 80 albums right now.
On to The Pretty Toney Album… released on April 20, 2004, this is Ghostface Killah’s fourth solo album. As one of my favorite Ghostface albums, Pretty Toney, has some fly-ass production; making this sample set amazing. The only sample in this set that isn’t quite complete is the “Metal Lungies” sample, but we were album to get a 45 second snippet of the track. If anyone has the full song, hit us up!

you guys really are killin the internet sample scene right now. this website (along with goondancing&HHIR) is breaking new ground. i have no idea how you figure out all the original samples, you must have a massive musical knowledge!
I found the Madvillainy sample set the most intriguing. Madlib is undoubtedly the king of crate diggin, he makes anything sound like hip hop.
Damn son. Yall did it crazy with this one. I feel you about how the ghost joints are ill to just vibe out to. I’m still trying to recover from the More fish joint.
Keep doing your thing.
Peace
