Well, it’s been one hell of a ride, but the remix contest has officially come to a close. Congrats to BGeezie who won week 11 with his remix of Lil Kim’s “Crush On You”. This last week you all remixed Jay-Z’s “Can’t Knock The Hustle”. It’s gonna be a tough call; that’s all I can say! This week made me wish we could dig up the acapellas to the whole Reasonable Doubt album and remix the whole thing!
Let’s get these polls open so we can finish this up and move on to the next contest. Yeah, that’s right, I said NEXT CONTEST. To all the cats that have been submitting beats, I need your input. Should we keep the remix contest the same, and just start a new theme (such as West Coast or Dirty South)? Should we add in some new rules? Or should we do a beat tape contest where I put up a sample and see how well you all flip it? Let me know what you think. We’ll start the new contest up in a few weeks after we get this mixtape out there.

Yo Kev thanks for keeping this going. I’m thinking some west coast remixes would be nice- show us Cali guys some love. I think a beat tape contest might get a little stale with the same beats over and over, but who knows? Peace everyone- great remixes- although after American Gangster and this, I think Jay-Z needs a break with his remixes.

Np tuche, i think people are ok to vote but it is the registration that bother them.
Yeah, it baffles me why people aren’t voting, but I don’t think it’s the registration. We have over 300 people registered with the site and there are constantly people registering each day. I’d love to open up the votes to everyone, but this is the only way make sure people aren’t voting multiple times. Maybe for the next contest we’ll try opening it back up again. Or maybe use a different polling system. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Kev, i think its fair that each registrated user only vote once, cuz the polls wud be moved by friendship, ambition, and not for the content of the song… that aint hip hop!!!
