Our next sample set is actually a 2-in-1. Young Jeezy’s first album, Thug Motivation, only had 4 samples listed so there was no point releasing it under its own set. So we put together the samples for Jeezy’s second album, The Inspiration, and included the samples from Thug Motivation as a bonus.
The Inspiration, released on December 12, 2006, had some nice use of samples. Mostly soul samples, there are also a couple of soundtrack numbers, including Phantom of the Opera and the theme to Dragon Ball Z.
Jeezy is gearing up to release his third album this summer, The Recession.

Thanks for putting this one together. This site is the best!!!
Do I loose my hip-hop card for admitting that I love “Thug Motivation”? I wanted to hate it when I first heard it but I just couldn’t.
I hated the single, but once I got the whole body of work…couldn’t stop playing it. Jeezy doesn’t break new ground with his lyrics/content, but he is good at what he “do.”
Good samples thanks
