Biggie vs. Rolling Stones

Selfish Insanity - Poppa Was A Rolling Stone

We posted a lot of great stuff on the site lately, so I’m gonna try and take a breather today… TRY.  Just so we give you something today, here’s a little something I saw over at illroots.com last night.  Biggie Smalls over some Rolling Stones tunes.  I haven’t heard it yet, but you can’t go wrong with some Biggie.  Read on to see who’s involved, get the tracklist, and download links…

yeah I agree… great concept, but falls short in a lot of areas. The mix between the acapellas and the tracks were way off at times. No cohesion at all. And I’m not a big fan of all of the DJ name/sound effect drops either, kind of clutters things up worse than they already are. Just my 2 cents…

…it’s worth a listen, Kev. at the very least it gives us inspiration for sample material for future productions. BTW, when I said the mix between the acapellas and tracks was way off, I was referring to levels, not timing/BPM mixing. Just wanted to clear the record.

I can’t really comment yet, because I haven’t heard it. But it sounds like that Biggie/Jimi thing that was going around a few months back. Good idea in concept, but execution was questionable.
