Wu tang is the best. Wu tang is the best. Check the banging sound the gods invent.
Good looking out Thomas. One thing though, “rec room” was produced by True Master not Rza.
It’s crazy how much love Wu producers show syleena johnsons pops.
Nice set for real
Tokyo your correct. Its been updated. Probably the most slept on Wu-Tang solo IMO.
Yeah, this really is a good set!
Yo Thomas your right about his joint being mad slept on. Deck devastaed the mic on this joint throughout. It was intelligent and gutter at the same time.
Production was stupid hard too. Tracks like “word on the street” kinda made me wonder why Deck did’nt do more production for cats. The Wu elements came through as usual. ( only other times they came together like this was The pillage, No said date and Cilvaringz album )Pete Rock did the damn things ( the layering he did was sick ) Blaquesmiths also had a nice track.
Great post again.
Did anyone put up that Pete Rock Soul Survivor set I was listenin’ to Tru Master the other with Deck and Kurupt that song and album was crazy!
We have Soul Survivor in the folder. Give us a while and we get out.
the thing about R.E.C. Room is RZA produced it but gave the credit to True Master because he found the sample. straight from the gods mouth.
Now that you say that Charlee I do remember reading RZA saying they (wu-elements) give each other credit for a song if the sample comes from the others collection.
hmmm, that’s interesting info
dude it was a time all i listened to was Wu. their music was like my drug lol. if the Rza wants to score movies, that’s whatever. the next Wu album should be done by the Wu-elements then. what do you homies think?
I’m a Wu-Tang stan. Have been since I bought 36 chambers with a gift certificate I received from one of my teachers in the 12th grade for Christmas. I’ve been hooked ever sense.
I own every Wu-Tang release from 93-97 on CD and cassette.
I always thought once RZA got away from producing the Wu-Tang solo albums in its entirety I thought the quality went down hill. I’ve always though True Master was the best behind RZA, then Allah Math then 4th Disciple.
RZA is the only person that can make Wu-Tang members sound like they are suppose to sound. Can’t seem to put it in words, but check out Ironman then every other Ghost album after that and his voice isn’t the same. Maybe RZA did something with his voice to slow it down or whatever.
Now there are some exceptions to the rule. Ghost sounds great over just about anyboby…love what DOOM, Pete Rock, and Alchemist have given him though..
Method sounds perfect over Eric Sermon’s funked up beats, but everyone else…it’s a wash.
Bottom line I’m greedy I want all RZA beats…nothing else.
I feel yall. Rza made the Eps ASR AND sp bleed that rawness.
Yo Thomas check youtube for the kitori Rza interview cause he broke down the science on why he made ghost sound more low pitched in his mixes. ( it was some type of compression he used and all that )
Charlee you right that wu elements should lace another wu album. shit like Fish, older gods and wu banga 101 showed how much they could spazz on those fam laced tracks. But with Rza doing the majority of course.
I knew the science about tracks like tai chi on Priest album swicthing up production credits but i aint know they did that for rec room too. Nice gem.
IMO 4th disciple is the second best outta the elements afetr Rza. when those two collaborated it was earth shattering sub crazy, damage, dangerous minds, hush hush tip ( oh yeah i took it there that is one of wu’s best beats EVER ) but by himself he is immortal.
Does anyone have any info on the cuban linx 2 version from a few years back ( the joint GZA was supposed to guest star in ) did anything leak?
i feel you on 4th disciple holmes.I think he is one of the most slept on producers. love all those Killarmy albums. wish Killa Sin wasn’t on lock. Thomas i can i up you homie, i imported all there besides from over seas. i got stuff from Wu fam that people never heard of.wanna check some out let me know.
I was feeling those Killarmy albums and the production that 4th did. True Master production just had a clean, crisp, dirty type feel to it for me. At times I couldn’t tell their production from one another.
Yeah if you have some Wu that may be unfamiliar hit me up. I’m always up for Wu-Tang.
yo did yall get the wu tang demo tape collection?
