Raekwon The Chef joins Napoleon Da Legend on his new track “Oxygen” produced by Unowned. The Wu-Tang Clan emcee give some high praise to Napoleon as well, explaining why he jumped on the song: “When I first heard the beat by Napoleon Da Legend, I knew it was gonna be special, but when I heard [...]

Andrew Kelley, one of the men behind the Chamber Music & Legendary Weapons project, links up with DJBooth.net to release the new Raekwon EP Dope On The Table. Originally conceived as an official mixtape with The Chef, Kelley has now packaged the songs into this EP. Guests on the project include Ghostface Killah, Big Boi, [...]
Ghostface’s third solo album, Bulletproof Wallets is one that I feel “got away” from him (Ghost believes this as well). The album suffered from sample clearance issues, poor backing from the label, and the liner notes (along with the tracklist/running order) were incorrect. At its best, BWP was Tony Starks creatively turning loveable cartoon characters [...]
Today marks the 15th anniversary of Mobb Deep‘s third album, Hell On Earth. H.O.E. is a personal classic for me as P was at the top of his game lyrically (his second verse on “Hell On Earth (Frontlines)” is one of his best) and Havoc‘s production still had that gritty, bone chilling effect found on [...]
Raekwon is planning to release a new mixtape before the end of the year, possibly by Black Friday (November 25th). The Chef teams up with Capone-N-Noreaga for the track “Chupacabra” which will likely appear on the project. Props to HipHop-N-More.com.

Ghostface Killah‘s Ironman turns 15 today. To celebrate this milestone, I’ve put together my favorite five songs from the album. A little commentary and stream of each song after the jump. Also, don’t forget to tell us what your favorite tracks are from the album in the comments!
Complex continues with their series of interviewing an artist about their favorite songs/albums. This go around they grabbed the Wu-Tang O.G., Method Man. Meth went through some of his hits and provided some entertaining back stories on those tracks. Got me thinking…sometimes I think people forget how nasty Method Man was from 93′ to early [...]
Here’s the latest video from Shallah‘s fifth studio album, Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang. Rae gives us an excercise in that Wu lingo over Allah Math‘s Curtis Mayfield inspired track. SVW [read review] is avaiable NOW. H/T RR
From my production perspective, there are not to,o many parts to take out of Otis Redding’s minimalist classic “Try a Little Tenderness.” In this situation, the beats sampling the original can end up sounding awfully similar. For this battle of Who Flipped It Better, producer Allah Mathematics “DTD” with Masta Killa is up against Kanye [...]
Tommy Nova is back with this trailer for his upcoming “Da Devil Is Dope” music video. If you haven’t already, make sure you download Tommy’s The Chosen One Pt. 2 hosted by the legend Raekwon.
BLOW! Hip Hop TV put together some highlights of the Wu-Tang Clan’s recent performance at the Red Bull Music Academy’s Five Out Of Five event. The sound quality’s not great but you can see that the attending members – GZA, Ghostface, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, U-God & Cappadonna — put on a helluva show that night.
Evidence continues his breakdown of Cats & Dogs, this time focusing on “The Red Carpet” featuring Raekwon & Ras Kass. The Dilated Peoples emcee’s long awaited sophomore LP drops September 27th on Rhymesayers.
A gem I completely forgot about from the best rap group evar! The song appeared on Funkmaster Flex‘s The Mix Tape, Vol. III. I ONLY purchased this album because of this song. Oh….I post the lyrics after the jump, but my score card has GZA/Method Man> U-God> GFK> INS> Raekwon. Thoughts?

Peep a few select tracks below [...]
The wait is over as we get our first preview of the Wu-Block album via the RZA produced title track featuring Ghostface Killah, Raekwon & all three members of The L.O.X. Originally planned as a Ghostface & Sheek Louch LP, it sounds like the project has evolved into a true Wu-Tang/D-Block collaboration with more involvement from Raekwon, Styles P, Jadakiss [...]
Raekwon cooks up some visuals for his highly regarded “Rich & Black” featuring the one & only Nas. The track appears on The Chef’s album Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang, which was included in our top 20 albums of the first half selections.
